Privacy
Policy
ONE Talent Group (“OTG”, “we”, “us”) is a recruitment business that handles personal information about candidates, clients and contacts. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. Who we are
ONE Talent Group is operated by Sebastian Fernandez (ABN 14 512 118 845), based in Sydney, New South Wales. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@onetalentgroup.com.au.
2. The information we collect
Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details — name, email, phone, location.
- Career information — CV/résumé, work history, qualifications, skills, salary expectations and references.
- Information you provide in applications, interviews, briefs and correspondence.
- For clients — business contact details and hiring requirements.
- Technical information when you use our website (e.g. basic log data).
We only collect sensitive information (such as information bearing on a background check) where it is reasonably necessary and with your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you — when you apply, submit a CV, complete a form, or speak with us. With your consent we may also collect it from referees you nominate and from publicly available professional sources. Where we receive your information from a third party, we take reasonable steps to ensure you are aware of this policy.
4. Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- Assess your suitability and represent you for current and future opportunities.
- Match candidates to client mandates and present shortlists.
- Communicate with you about roles, applications and our services.
- Operate, maintain and improve our business and platform.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
5. Candidate anonymity to employers
On our public, employer-facing surfaces (such as our talent listings) candidates are presented anonymously — without your name or photograph — using a non-identifying reference. Your identity is only disclosed to a prospective employer once we represent you for a specific role, and we seek your agreement before doing so.
6. Who we disclose it to
We may disclose personal information to:
- Prospective employers and clients, for the purpose of representing you (see Section 5).
- Service providers who help us operate — including cloud hosting, database, email delivery and AI-assisted matching providers — under confidentiality obligations.
- Professional advisers, or where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia (for example, in the United States or the European Union). Where we disclose your information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and restricting who within OTG can view candidate records. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
9. Access, correction and withdrawing consent
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to stop representing you, at any time. Contact privacy@onetalentgroup.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. Some information may need to be retained where the law requires.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page.
